It is entertaining, by the way, how I married into an extremely sports-centric family. I am personally about as non-athletic as it gets. In fact, unless the Olympic Committee ever gets around to answering my letters requesting that things like "Dancing To The Scissor Sisters While Vacuuming" or "Gracefully Getting Hit In The Back Of The Head With A Flying Ball Whenever I Walk Across A Gymnasium" or "Bug Punching Those Stupid Bugs In The Summer" be made into bona fide Olympic activities, I will never have a competitive bone in my body.
(It is harder than it looks, okay? Coordination! And being short. I'm talking about the flying balls.)
Anyway. The Polly Popover from J Crew was the only thing from the spring new arrivals that I felt would really make a good fit in my closet; sometimes those polka-dots, floral prints, and leopard spots get a 'tude and need some non-fussy stripes to straighten them back out, you know?

Likes fashion, broccoli, ice cream, clarifying that she does not eat ice cream with her broccoli as to not cause worldwide panic, hoarding beauty products & pretty shoes, tickle fights with her husband (he would like to clarify that he does not like them back, OKAY?), anything covered in sprinkles, any alcoholic beverage made with Tang, live music, clicking the camera, sarcasm fonts, vases stuffed full of pretty flowers, and laughing hard until her belly hurts. Wants an adventurous life, lots of puppies, to never obtusely wander around with her fly down, and to be an iconic Diane Von Furstenberg wrap dress with a bright, festive print when she grows up. This is where she bravely documents it all. (
Oh lady,no many exciting things happening in Denver. I might have to come visit... How cool that the YSL exhibit will be in Denver!
ReplyDeleteI bought that Polly popover in the blue/green stripes and yes, it runs a little big, but it's so cute and versatile.
And those sunnies, to die for. BTW, I got my Taylors by Elizabeth and James and they are fabulous too!
You are so lucky to live in an area that has soooo much fashion going on! The YSL show sounds amazing!
ReplyDeleteon another note, I am loving J Crew's Spring/Summer line. I have my eye on a few things, but something striped is at the top ;) You look gorgeous Chloe!

I am very much looking forward to the YSL show! Also coming up in the near future... The Johnson and Wales Catwalk "DiverCity" Fashion Show on February 10th at the University. And Frock Out 2012 will take place at Denver Public Library on April 19th. Maybe I'll see you at some of these events this spring!
ReplyDeleteOoo, I really like the glittery spectator pumps - too cute! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI had previously planned to break into your closet and steal that Rachel Zoe jacket, but seeing how lovely that MJ quilted case goes with it, will snag that on my way out as well!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're still sick, Chloe. Hope you feel better soon. And seriously, most stylish girl ever! I'm super jealous of all those great events... the PR YSL show sounds amazing.

Awesome sunnies. I also have a large head (no one believes me until I put on a size L hat) so non-pinching sunnies are a plus. They look great on you too!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the YSL show and the Goodwill show! Post photos of both if you're able. Get well soon!!!
Ooo I love the sparkly pumps, so cute!

ReplyDeleteI am always envious of the way you pair unexpected colors together. It's beyond perfect and I want to try to be so coordinated-but-not, but I know I couldn't pull it off as well as you. Love it.

I love all the outfits, Chloe, but I think that last one is my favorite! I just want everything you're wearing!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you're not feeling well. I really hope you feel better soon. If it's any consolation, you look amazing. I'd never guess you were feeling under the weather.
You're right, that is a supercute print on the skirt! I must have missed that completely, I don't remember seeing it before. This season J. Crew is giving me a gingham craving.
ReplyDeleteSorry you're having health problems. Seems like everyone I know with chronic issues is having trouble lately -- maybe it's the weather? Hope it all dies down quickly for you.
Oh! So many great statement pieces in each outfit! This is one of my favorite outfit posts of yours!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon!
Picture me saying this like Rachel Zoe: I DIE at these outfits. First of all, the printed skirt. OMGeeee. Then, the quilted bag (that's brilliantly an ipad case) and then the striped shirt and lilac skinnies...I am DYING right now. These outfits are amazing :) thank you for the inspiration---I had been eyeing that JCrew blouse and now I must have it!
ReplyDeleteI love love love that jacket. Gorgeous and classic.
ReplyDeletecool look)

Chloe! Thank you so much for posting extra info on that marc jacobs ipad case! I have been eyeballing it (to use as a purse... I sadly don't own an ipad yet) And I didn't know that the chain was removable! I love when I have a bag that can be used a few different ways! Now all I have to do is save up! I'm thinking of getting the yellow one! I love how you styled your coral version!
